“Maybe it’s much
Too early in the game
Ooh, but I thought
I’d ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year’s
New Year’s eve?
Wonder whose arms
Will hold you good and tight
When it’s exactly
Twelve o’clock that night
Welcoming in the New Year
New Year’s eve” Ella Fitzgerald
Flipping ECK! Is that really 2015 done & dusted with?!! Where did the last 12 months go? Our first official year of business has been just UNBELIEVABLE….and we simply cannot thank you all enough!
From beautiful & unique weddings in stunning venues & locations, working in collaboration with some fabulous Event Companies, to joining some simply cracking suppliers on eye popping photo shoots and supplying our letter lights to both corporate events, recent Christmas celebrations and festive window displays; we certainly have had a blast!
As we move closer to the New Year, here at Words To Glow HQ we cannot help but feel excited as to what new and exciting prospects 2016 has to hold. With a busy Event Calendar already on the table and new products to be announced in early January, we cannot wait to share this with both all those who have supported us in the past year, and all you lovely new clients.
The first event on our calendar is of course the fabulous National Gay Wedding Show. Hosted by the unique and show-stopping The Monastery in Gorton, Manchester, this great wedding show takes place on Sunday 17th January, so grab your tickets now!
As we prepare to see the New Year in with a bang, we will end our final blog of this fantastic year with a little NYE party inspiration of your own. Of course, at Words To Glow we know nothing screams PARTY more than a liberal dusting of sparkle and glitter. Gold and silver are of course traditional and classy; but it is New Year’s Eve after all, so any colour goes we say!
Sequin tablecloths add instant glam and these sparkly stars are super easy to make out of either metallic ready made cardboard or by chanelling your inner Blue Peter with glitter and PVA glue! Hang from the ceiling with pretty ribbon and you have instant party glamour. Go on – roll up your sleeves and have a go you know you want to!
Oversized balloons filled with glitter and sequins can create a great focal point for key areas in your room such as the cake table or your home made cocktail bar.
Dip white feathers in gold glitter and use as unique table centres or strung up around your room as a festive feather garland. Simple votive candles can be instantly jazzed up with simple gold office tacks. Dotted around your venue they can create a beautiful warm ambience.
Of course, the most discerning of New Year’s Eve celebrations would not be complete without a bespoke Bubbly Bar. Glitz up those champagne bottles with a liberal dose of glitter; even spray paint your home made mason jars to house some celebratory sparklers and be sure to keep the champagne on ice for that all important New Year countdown!
Of course, why stop at just a champagne bar? Cover all your bases with some fabulous home made cocktail concoctions and a liberal smattering of sweets (traditional bonbons and chocolates always go down a treat).
And of course, for party lighting ideas and the perfect setting for your New Year’s celebrations our light up alphabet letters are the most addition for your dance floor shenanigans!
