Events are coming back!
At last, we have light at the end of our tunnel, a definitive glow. After a year of uncertainty for many of our bride-to-be’s & grooms, party planners and clients, we are so pleased that 2021 is looking like weddings, birthday parties, events and get-togethers will all soon be a very real possibility.
But what can we expect trend-wise across our industry? The coronavirus pandemic has definitely altered our wants & needs, and our general outlook on what is actually important in life. Therefore will the wedding and events industry see a huge change in the type of weddings and parties that are produced? We offer our insight on what we think will become huge trends across 2021….
Less is More – Simplicity
With the ongoing trend of sustainability and an entire generation of people now adjusting to living on less, sustainable bold statement pieces are becoming a big part of the wedding and party industry. From the way we eat, to the way we live, many of us are ‘cutting back’ and choosing to enjoy life’s small pleasures, following the last year. From the table décor, to the dress, simplicity is a key trend for 2021, and your wedding or party décor, including creative statement pieces, can really make the minimalist vision a reality.
Relaxed or Informal
Getting married at home in the garden, or throwing a informal party for your birthday, have become a way of still celebrating those special moments in life, without being restricted by covid guidelines. We think this trend will long continue after restrictions have lifted, and we will see more informal, relaxed and intimate events being produced and enjoyed with family and friends.
Quality over Quantity
Instead of spending a large amount of budget on a number of items, wedding and event organisers are opting for quality décor instead. That one luxury piece like a neon sign, or a statement background for that perfect insta-moment, planners are choosing these items for their weddings and events over having lots of different items. Our 4ft light-up-letters for example, can create a backdrop, plus a statement for photos, but without the hefty pricetag.
Décor is key
With inspiration at everyone’s fingertips across social media, Décor is becoming more and more sought-after and creative. When your big day arrives, you want to have that beautiful photo to cherish and remember it by. Décor therefore can play a huge part in any wedding or event, and can offer you and your guests those candid moments that won’t be forgotten. Floral arches, light-up-letters, neon statements, rustic lighting and table décor are all set to continue to be big across the 2021 summer season.
We cannot wait for the variety of events that will be held across the Summer of ’21. Let the adventures begin and the good times roll!
